You often here people say that our children
are the future of the Church. Here at St. John's, we don't believe that. Our
children are not our future; they are our present. Their childlike faith, joy,
and trust in the Lord builds us up today and forms an irreplaceable part of the
Body of Christ.
It is our mission as a church to guard and nurture that faith, so that as they
mature, their faith may also mature, and they may grow ever closer to their
heavenly Father, who loves them deeply.
The best way we have found to do this is with our pre-kindergarten - 6th grade
school. While we do our best with the resources we have to accomplish this
with our children who attend school elsewhere, it cannot compare to having our
children in our care seven hours a day, five days a week.
Our vision is summed up in the banner of our school: Believe · Achieve · Belong.
Each of those words holds the essential elements of what we offer at St. John's
School: - Growth in and commitment to a living faith through Jesus Christ
in the Catholic tradition;
- development of each student’s academic,
moral, social and physical abilities;
- a strong bond, based on faith and
respect, between students, faculty, staff, families and parishioners.
