The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
(RCIA) is a seven month process in which adults who are not
baptized or adults who were baptized in a non-Catholic church
may become Catholic, and adults who are baptized Catholic
but have not been confirmed may complete their initiation
into the Catholic Church. Weekly meetings begin in the fall
and are completed with the celebration of the sacraments of
Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion at the Easter Vigil, April 7, 2012.
Candidates for initiation are paired with
a sponsor from the parish and a sponsor of their own choosing
who can help them during this process. Classes are conducted
by Fr. Liekhus. Because of our new cluster
relationship with St. Joseph, the RCIA classes of the two parishes meet together. Classes are Sunday evenings, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Before Christmas, we will meet at St. John's; after Christmas, we will meet at St. Joseph's. To register, contact Fr. Liekhus
at 952-945-9441 or frjliekhus@stjohnhopkins.org.
