Pastoral Ministry: Deacon
Jim Murphy and Pastoral Minister Charlene Murphy assist Fr.
Liekhus in a variety of pastoral functions for the parishioners
of St. John the Evangelist Church.
Deacon Jim Murphy ministers in these areas:
- Sacraments
- Assists at the Eucharist , Baptisms and
witnesses marriages. Prepares parishioners for Baptism and
Marriage. Presides at funeral wakes and graveside services;
Viaticum; Stations of the Cross; Benediction and Adoration.
Justice/Charity
- Represents the parish on the Intercongregration
Communities Association (ICA). Is a field advocate for annulments
and an ex-officio member of the Parish Pastoral Council
and liturgy committee.
