MISSION: The
Liturgy Committee exists to create a respectful and suitable
atmosphere in which to worship God. Relying upon the Holy
Spirit for inspiration and vision, the committee works with
the pastor and in support of the parish mission statement
to celebrate the sacraments of our faith. To that end, the
committee coordinates the liturgical elements of Holy Mass
and other celebrations.
The committee assists in evaluating liturgical needs; planning
of ritual, music and environment; communicating with chairpersons
of other liturgical minister groups; and educating parishioners
on the role of liturgy.
MEMBERS: The committee consists of the pastor,
the deacons, the music director, and lay volunteers. Current
members of the committee are Phil Stangel (chair), Peg Lindgren, Joann Turmes, Kirsten Kurtz, and Jim
Keane.
MEETING: The committee meets
the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the parish
conference room. All are welcome to attend.
