(Household & Outside Maintenance for the Elderly) Program can help you with yard cleanup, lawn mowing, snow removal, painting, minor repairs & plumbing, safety & energy related installations, and house cleaning. Immigration Education Program October 2nd at 7:30 pm at St. John’s Church Anne Attea, Coordinator for Hispanic Ministry in the Archdiocese, will present an informational session on the current U.S. immigration issue. The presentation will address the underlying fundamental values surrounding immigration with reference to Catholic Social Teaching. Attea will include facts about immigration law, statistics about immigrants and their contributions to the community, a review of current legislation and an appeal for comprehensive immigration reform as called for by our Bishops. Questions will be welcome throughout the evening. Attea has been involved in the Hispanic/Latino ministry in the Archdiocese for the past 8 years, and prior to that time, served as a lay missioner in Chile and Mexico. She has her Masters in Divinity from Loyola University-Chicago. |
