Opportunity Outreach: Global Solidarity Sunday Sunday, June 3 Archbishop Flynn has designated Sunday, June 10, as Global Solidarity Sunday in the Archdiocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis. Our parish will observe this day on Sunday, June 3.This is an opportunity for each parish community to reflect on how it manifests its global solidarity through prayer and worship, faith formation, family and work life, stewardship, outreach and political responsibility. One expression of global solidarity will be a second collection, an Opportunity Outreach, whose proceeds will go to Catholic Relief Services, the U.S. Catholic Church’s global relief and development agency, and towards the budding but vibrant Catholic Church in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa. For example, through this collection, the Church in Latin America offers pilot grants to assist in formation of priests, religious and lay pastoral leaders. |

Where Is Jim Walker These Days? For many years, Jim was an usher, sacristan, handyman, Eucharistic Minister, chef for special parish events, and all-round faithful parishioner. He is in residence at St. Therese in New Hope now and doing well, so well that he plans to return to his home in Minnetonka one day soon. Jim personifies so many good people who make this parish a tight-knit community of faithful and serving people. |
