Third Sunday in Lent

On Sundays during Lent (this Sunday, March 11th - April 1st) youth are welcome to participate in the Evangelization Initiative. These gatherings will take place from 7:15-8:30 pm in Leo’s Den. If you cannot participate on all Sundays, you are still welcome to come when you can. This weekend, students participated in a 24-hour plus food fast. They made a meatless soup supper for their “Last Supper,” prayed, learned about local and world hunger, and served at Feed My Starving Children all while only consuming liquids. Students were encouraged to collect donations which would go to Catholic Relief Services. If you would like to donate to CRS in honor of the youth and their efforts, you can do so through March by leaving a check made out to CRS and Youth Famine in the memo in the parish offices. On Saturday, March 24th, students who are participating in this summer’s mission trip will continue fundraising. We will be “Bagging for Tips” at the Cub Foods on Hwy 101 and Hwy 7 from 10 am–6 pm. If there are students who are interested in helping but not attending the mission trip, you are welcome to stop by. Adults are encouraged to plan for their shopping at Cub on Saturday and help support the parish’s youth mission! All youth and families are invited to attend the Timberwolves game on Friday, April 13th. Come and watch KG and the Wolves take on Tim Duncan and the Spurs! There will be more information to come.

Confirmation Class gathers for Mass on Sunday, March 11 at 6 pm and then for class at 7 pm Confirmation candidates and their parents and sponsors are reminded that the parish Penance Service is March 28, Wednesday evening, at 7 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to attend the sacrament before receiving Confirmation on April 29. Wednesday evening, March 14 Faith Formation classes will take place as scheduled. Wednesday evening, March 21 First Eucharist Class for parents— A reminder to parents to attend First Communion class this evening. It will cover the details of First Communion including photos and the reception.
