Eighteenth & Nineteenth Sundays in Ordinary Time

August 6 & August 13, 2006

Text Box: Hopkins Catholic Youth Ministry
Robyn Magalska, Director
Our Sr. high mission trip to North Carolina was once again a success! We arrived back home safely on July 30th. A wide variety of service work was completed by our group. The work ranged from helping the Boys and Girls Club, working with mentally and physically disabled adults and children, manual labor for Habitat for Humanity, stocking a welfare agency’s food shelves, building a wheelchair ramp and more. Students also met other Catholic teens from states such as New Jersey, Iowa, Georgia and more. We had the opportunity to participate in many prayer activities such as adoration, mass everyday, and reconciliation. We thank you all for your prayerful and monetary support which made this experience for our parish youth possible.

All students should mark their calendars for Tuesday, August 15th for our youth outing to the Twins game vs. the Cleveland Indians. We will meet at St. Joe’s at 6pm and return at approximately 10:30pm (return time varies due to time of game). The cost for the event is $12 and checks can be made to St. John’s. Friends are welcome and permission slips are required for all participants 18 and under. Contact the youth office for more information.
