Robyn Magalska, Director
Thank you! The 2006 summer youth mission group would like to thank our parishes for their generous support, most specifically with their 2nd Collections they took up for our benefit. We would like to do this by showing you some photos of our trip, some news clips and serving you refreshments after Mass. We will be doing this at St. Joe’s on Sunday, August 27th after the 10:30 am Mass in the Social Hall and at St. John’s on Sunday, September 3rd after the 10 am mass in the Community Room. Please join us for either one of these occasions to hear about our mission trip!

If you are looking for service hours or ways to help out your parish community, there are opportunities to do so at the St. John’s Garage Sale food booth on Saturday, September 9th and at the St. Joe’s Fall Festival on Sunday, September 17th. Students can help at either parish. Call to sign up or if you would like more information.

As we transition into the school year, like many other areas in parish life, the youth program is seeking new, dedicated adult volunteers. Many of our volunteers are heading back to college or have moved away so help is needed to make our program successful. Anyone 21 and older can help us in many ways and there is also need for young adults 18-20 years old. The amount of time given can be determined by your availability. Please call the youth office for more information about different ways you can help the youth in our parishes!

Outreach Collection ICA This Weekend

ICA is building a new 10,000 sq. ft. facility to respond to the growing emergency food shelf needs of the residents of Hopkins, Minnetonka, Excelsior, Shorewood, Deephaven, Greenwood and Woodland Minnesota. The ICA Capital Campaign has raised $380,000 thus far toward the $700,000 cost of the facility.

The value of life does not depend upon the place we occupy. It depends upon the way we occupy that place.
