Garage Sale, Saturday, September 8

All are welcome to help us raise funds for St. John’s at the Interlachen Park Garage Sale by selling food and drinks to the  hungry shoppers. Once again the Hispanic Community will join our efforts by offering freshly made Mexican food for sale—in addition to the usual bratwurst and hot dogs. YOU CAN HELP! Sign up to volunteer in the Church Foyer. Call Brook Sullivan in the Parish Office for more information. Thank you!

· Donate Soda Pop (deliver to the Church by Labor Day Weekend).

· Donate Cookies & Bars (deliver to the Church by  Friday, September 7).

· Volunteer to sell food on Saturday.

· Defray food expense with a Cash Donation. Place in the Sunday Collection Basket marked “Garage Sale.”

It's not too late to take another look at St. John’s Catholic School

for 2007–2008!

We have limited openings in grades K-6. Our school offers a superior education and a tradition of excellence in a faith-based, disciplined environment. Please call the School Office at

952-935-7787 for more information or to arrange a tour. We look forward to showing you all of the wonderful things our school has to offer.

Jesus mandated by the Word of Scripture and by his example that we care for each other.  The care of most of us for those most dear to us is the norm and is admirable.  However, there are many who have no one to care for them or about them.  One of the many ways most of us can reach out, beyond ourselves and our close circles, is through KINSHIP of greater Minneapolis.

Kinship needs individuals, couples or families to befriend children, ages 5–15, in the metro area.  Kinship can be reached at 612-588-4655/www.kinship.org.  Most of us have much more than we need.  Here is one effective way to share our blessings. R. G.
