Your Most Important Work May Not Begin Until After You Retire

The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) is an opportunity for men and women over 50 to offer their skills, wisdom and life experience in direct service to the poor. In return for a commitment of 12–15 hours a week with a local service project, the IVC provides guidance for personal reflection and prayerful conversation in the Jesuit tradition. IVC is sponsoring an information session at Immaculate Heart of Mary on Summit Ave. in St. Paul, on Saturday, May 6th at 10:00 am. For additional information, please call Meg Mannix at (952)393-4582, or e-mail twincitiesilvc.org. IVCthe benefits are priceless!

CSA Farm Information

It’s that time of the year again when we start thinking of spring planting and fresh produce! One way to get that produce is through a share in a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. There is a poster on the bulletin board in the church foyer sent to us by the Archdiocesan Rural Life Office. It gives contact information for the over two-dozen CSA farms serving our Twin Cities region alone. By purchasing a share you receive a weekly delivery of fresh, organic produce into the fall. For more information about CSA farms, or to view or order a 2006 CSA directory, go online at http://www.landstewardshipproject.org/csa.html or contact the Land Stewardship Project at 651-653-0618.
