Attention Adults!

Plans for our Sr. High Summer Mission are underway but we’re still missing an important piece to our puzzle!  We need a male adult leader who is over the age of 21! Our trip will be from July 21–30th and we are going to serve in North Carolina.  If you or someone you know might be interested in this wonderful experience, contact the Youth Ministry office to discuss the responsibilities and details!

This weekend is the beginning of St. John’s annual Time & Talent ministry reflection and sign up. Please read the materials mailed to you last week and prayerfully reflect on how you can love and serve the Lord and others by participating in a ministry in our parish.

The pamphlet in the mailing will acquaint you with numerous ministry opportunities at St. John’s. Please use the pamphlet insert to indicate those in which you choose to participate. Then return the insert in the envelope provided. If you did not receive a mailing, please call the office at 952-935-5536.

Thank you!

Free & Open to All—

An Evening of Renewal and Inspiration

with Reynolds (Butch) Ekstrom
Wed., May 3, 7 to 9 p.m. Church of St. Luke, St. Paul

Through Baptism we are all called to Discipleship, to Ministry, to Serve, to Share Our Gifts. Who should attend? All who serve the Church: volunteer or salaried, Catechists, Committee & Pastoral Council Members, Eucharistic Ministers, Choir Members, and Lectors. Join us as Reynolds (Butch) Ekstrom shares his comments about the “Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord” document as it applies to all of us that are baptized as volunteer ministers in the Church. (This is a document developed by the United States Council of Catholic Bishops on the topic of Lay Ministry in the Church.) Butch’s homespun style and great stories will help us reflect on our role in the Church. Donations to help defray costs are appreciated, but not necessary. For further information, contact the Center for Ministry of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis at 651-290-1616 or cfm@archspm.org
