WELCOME TO EVERYONE

The Church has grown through these holy days of Lent and Easter.  That growth has been a new and deeper awareness of God's love for us and of our capacity to live that love more fully.  The Church has also grown through the new members “born” into the Church by Baptism and/or

Confirmation, after their journey of faith in the R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program.  Let us continue our support and prayer for these new members   Boonlad Mary Beddor, Josh Dettmer, Shawna Kluk, Todd Ley, Erin O'Brien, and James Tobyne.  This R.C.I.A. community came

together from some distance.  Consequently, some are parishioners and some are parishioners elsewhere, but we are one community of faith.  We congratulate them again, and pray in thanksgiving for their witness.  We also thank them for their challenge to us, that we always grow in our faith as they have done.

The parish LEADERSHIP MEETING offers Council, committee, staff and other parish group members to come together and celebrate what we have done this past year in our ministries.  We also reflect together on how we have accomplished goals and how we have met with challenges in doing so.  Together, the staff and parish volunteers make real the service to God and to each other and “the wider community” that we are commissioned to do by Jesus himself:  “As I have done to you, so you must do to each other.” That meeting begins with Mass at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1 (pizza after for those attending the Mass) and continues 7:00–8:30 p.m. in the Community Room.  Parish Council Chair Kay Davies, co-chair Kristin Jamison and myself will guide the evening.  Members of committees and interested parishioners are all invited.  If you will be here for the pizza following Mass, please call the office before 4:00 on Monday, April 30.  Like you, I look forward to rejoicing in our accomplishments and discovering ways to accomplish more for the Kingdom of God on earth.—Father Ralph

Thank you if you returned your Time &

Talent ministry form this week! If you

haven’t returned the form yet, please take time and prayer to discern how you’re being called to love and serve the Lord and others through a ministry at St. John’s. The Time & Talent pamphlet will acquaint you with numerous ministry opportunities. Use the form included with the pamphlet to indicate those which you choose to participate in, and then return it in the collection or by mail.

Also available in the foyer for your use is a Guide to Ministries, Committees & Activities prepared by the Public Relations Committee to explain in detail opportunities for service at St. John’s Church. Thank you!!
