By the sacrament of Confirmation,
the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are
enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence
they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged
to spread and defend the faith by word and deed."(Catechism
of the Catholic Church, 1285)

The youth of the parish celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation
in Grade 10. The preparation for this celebration takes two
years.
Year One (Grade 9)
The following are required for our 9th graders.
They attend two meetings in the fall, one for orientation
and one to sign up for a liturgical ministry. They go on a
weekend retreat in December. They attend six classes on Sunday
evenings from January to March. Throughout this time, they
attend two parish events, they serve in their liturgical ministry
of choice, they complete their assignments from class, and
they volunteer at least twice at Loaves and Fishes.
Year Two (Grade 10)
