Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against Him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion. First reconciliation is celebrated when the children are in second grade, before they receive first communion. The St. John's School students will be taught specifically about first reconciliation and first communion on Mondays during their religion class. The religious education students will be taught during their class on Sunday evenings. The celebration of first reconciliation is on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at 10:00 a.m.
